Quarter Tanker Run to the Famous
Kimball Ice Cream Stand
On Sunday, June 27, we will be making our first Quarter Tanker Run. A “QT” is a trip that will take about a quarter tank of gas or less. For our inaugural run we are going to Kimball Farm in Westford, MA. This is NOT the Kimball Farms we went to last fall.
Famous since 1939 for their legendary ice cream, Kimball Farm has become a perfect place to visit, have fun and relax. With 36 holes of adventure style mini golf, a bumper boat pond, farm animals and live animal shows, there’s lots of excitement for everyone. Kimball Farm also features a Driving Range, with both mat & grass tees and a par-3, 9-hole Pitch & Putt golf course.
Hungry? Their Luncheon Grill & Seafood Shack serves incredible fried seafood and hot-off-the-grill BBQ. Visit the Country Store for shopping, or to indulge in one of their homemade pastries, soup or gourmet sandwiches. We can top off our visit with their delicious homemade ice cream! Meeting times and places
We will meet in Weymouth at the Building 19 parking lot starting at 10:00 am. We will leave promptly at 10:30. Our next stop will be Joe’s American Bar and Grill parking lot in Dedham. We will leave Joe’s at 10:45 sharp. We will be taking some scenic back roads to Westford and should arrive at Kimball Farm about noon. Just in time for lunch.
