We have past that depressing day in late December known as the Winter Solstice. It officially occurred on December 21, 2008, at 7:04 am. That was when to days stopped getting shorter. It is the time when the reversal begins to happen and we get gradually lengthening days and shortened nights. I no longer feel like getting into bed at 4:30 in the afternoon but I’m longing for an 8:30 sunset. I came across this picture and it reminded me of one of my early Vettes. Mine was a ’58 that had seen better days. It was a daily driver for me and probably every one of the multitude of owners before me and the one after me. But it was a Corvette, it was a 4-speed and it was mine. Enjoy the winter. wl
We considered many local business and restaurants. Joe Amante made contact with the Monponsett Inn and not only would they permit us to use their parking lot, but they welcomed us with open arms. The owner is a Vette owner!
Tax Run 2008, Sunday, April 13th was a great success
I know this is short notice about the upcoming Cliff Walk for ALS sponsored by the Cape Cod Corvette Club this coming Sunday Sept. 9th in Bourne. They would like us to participate in their Corvette Display as part of the festivities. They would like the Corvettes to be in place by 9:00 a.m. so if we were going to meet someplace (I haven't got that far yet) then it would have to be at 8 or 8:30. I'll get back to you all next week.
