Soup Party-Wrap-up, No Campbell’s Here
The first SSCC Soup Party was held on February 7 at the home of Mal Smith and Joe Woodard. It was attended by 30 members and enjoyed by everyone . It was definitely a huge hit. For all of you that thought it might be a “girlie” event, ask those who attended what they thought…nothing girlie about it!!! The culinary creativity of the SSCC again was on display. There were cream soups, vegitable soups, Itallian soups, spicy soups and stick-to-your-ribs soups. Salads, rolls and breads followed by carrot cake and cookies completed the repast. No one went home hungry. This event is a very popular annual event with one of our sister clubs and that is where Mal got the idea to bring it to SSCC. It looks like this will become an annual event with us too. What a great way to socialize and stay warm in the winter….soup and great friends.
