July 4th Parades

We had a terrific turnout for the Randolph and Stoughton parades. We were well received by the crowds. Lots of smiling faces. With our new windshield banners, everyone now knows the South Shore Corvette Club by name. We even got a nice write up in the Patriot Ledger. We had a scare with the weather and all the tops went up, but by parade time the rain had cleared and the tops came down, the flags went up and we were off the a cheering crowd.

After the Randolph parade we all went to the Outback Steakhouse for dinner and and evening of socializing.

Stoughton, MA Reported by Elaine Kemp
What a great response we had for our last-minute invitation to participate in the Stoughton 4th of July parade.  Yes, we had to scramble a bit to obtain enough Corvettes to make a good impression, but our SSCC folks came through!  Ten Corvettes participated in our introduction to the Town of Stoughton's annual parade on the afternoon of the 4th, and they loved us!!
We drove single file along the parade route so our ten Vettes looked like 20!  Not only that, but quite a few of the people who were watching the parade had seen us in the Randolph parade the night before so we had our own fan club cheering us on.  It was a great time, and I want to thank all SSCC members who took the time out of this special holiday to make our first parade in Stoughton such a nice one! More pictures can be seen here for the Randolph parade and here for the Stoughton parade.
