The weather was both good and bad. We met at Building
19 in a slow drizzle. Not the best of days for a ride
to Fitchburg. Only Tom Meehan was brave enough to
bring his Vette. We car pooled and headed for Joe's
in Dedham, our next stop.
The
sky was still dark, but blue was showing in the
west. In all, 13 of use made the trip. As we
closed in on Fitchburg, the weather cleared. It
was the beginning of an amazing day.
"Awesone... fantastic.... impressive....
unbelievable...." were the words heard as we toured
Ron's Restorations. Ron Bunnell and his staff were
the most gracious hosts.
Ron gave us an overview of his shop, their
procedures, answered hundreds of questions and even
provided us with lunch.
As we all explored his shop, we saw Corvettes in
every stage of restoration, solid axles, midyears,
and sharks. We learned that Ron is expanding into C5
and C6 performance upgrades along with his
traditional restoration business.
After
lunch and more poking around the shop we had to
say our thanks and goodbyes. All of us that want
on the trip wish to extend our sincerest thanks
to Ron and his staff for a day none of us will
forget. Check here to find out more about Ron's
Restorations and here
