Recognition Dinner–Dining, Dancing, and
Congratulations
The Recognition
Dinner is the culmination of the SSCC’s events. This
year, as in past years, we all got together to
recognize the members who did so much to make the
South Shore Corvette Club what it is. We also saw
three officers retire after years of work and
dedication to the club.

The
weather has been on the side of the SSCC this year.
We again had a perfect day to get out and cruise the
back roads of the South Shore. It is after all in our
name. Tom and Debbie Hayes were our tour guides.
After first meeting in Weymouth at Building 19, we
picked up the rest of the group at the Building 19
parking lot in Hanover.

Bug Juice Rally is Huge
Success
Well it's over
and the winners have been crowned. The resurrection of
the Bug Juice Rally by our Secretary Carol Santacross
was a resounding success. Many of us had never
participated in a rally and this was both a fun and a
learning experience. We were honored with a number of
our friends participating from the Cape Cod Corvette
Club. More pictures can be viewed here. Read

This year’s “Vettes to Vets” day far surpassed all
our expectations. The Corvette Community has to
be the most generous and most patriotic group
ever. We had hoped to attract 150
Corvettes. In the end, we exceeded 200.
We registered 194 and saw several cars missing window
cards indicating they may not have
registered. Read

First of all, Thank you to Carmen for a beautiful Ice
Cream run after our business meeting on Thurs.
I know this is short notice about the upcoming
Cliff Walk for ALS sponsored by the Cape Cod Corvette
Club this coming Sunday Sept. 9th in Bourne. They
would like us to participate in their Corvette
Display as part of the festivities. They would like
the Corvettes to be in place by 9:00 a.m. so if we
were going to meet someplace (I haven't got that far
yet) then it would have to be at 8 or 8:30. I'll get
back to you all next week.
For more info check here:

Then the following Sat. is the Heritage
Show in Sandwich which is a Fabulous Show &
